WE ARE OCEAN
A short film made in collaboration with Native Hawaiian wisdom-keepers Puna Kalama Dawson and Tom Pohaku Stone. Co-written with Hoakalei Sasaoka. Funded by Samsung.
When Samsung approached us with a very open brief: to make a short film in Hawaii about the ocean, we instantly knew the theme should be about connection. We also knew that we couldn't attempt to make the film without collaborating with people who know the ocean best, and who embody this deep ancestral relationship that lives on in all of us.

The challenge was to shoot the whole film on Samsung's new Galaxy S25 Ultra phone! We had a week to do it, and it was a lot of fun.
